    Getting error when trying to import a CSV into GoldMine using the import wizard: 'Unable to open file: <Path>\Filename.csv'

     


    Resolution

    [CAUSE]

    The reason for the error is that the file is open already. 


    [RESOLUTION]

    1. Close any application that already has the CSV file (also verify that it isn't open in the task manager)
     
    To get to the task manager:
    - Press [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Del] to bring up the Windows Security screen, which provides users with five options including Windows Task Manager.
    - Click Start Task Manager.
    or
    - Right-click the taskbar and you'll see the context menu.
    - Choose the 'Start Task Manager' command. 

    2. Re-import the CSV file through the import wizard in GoldMine
