Errors when opening Dashboards e.g. CCustView::ReloadDataSource, data source failed

Version 1

Error Message in GoldMine: CCustView::ReloadDataSource, data source failed  The real underlying error can be found in the Event log of the local machine.  Error Message in Windows Event viewer:  Incorrect syntax near 'PIVOT'. You may need to set the compatibility level of the current database to a higher value to enable this feature. See help for the SET COMPATIBILITY_LEVEL option of ALTER DATABASE.

Cause:GMPE Dashboards use the PIVOT statement which was introduced in MS SQL 2005, means it was simply not a valid statement within MS SQL 2000 or lower. This leads to the fact that the underlying query for the Dashboard cannot be executed correctly and the Dashboard cannot be loaded.

    - This happens when compatibility level is set to Microsoft SQL 2000. - The PIVOT statement was not available in MS SQL 2000 which is one reason that MS SQL 2000 is NOT supported anymore since GMPE 8.5.x.  - verify and check the set compatibility level of the Database and set it to the highest possible value – means either SQL Server 2005 (90) when using MS SQL 2005 or SQL Server 2008 (100) when using MS SQL 2008.  1. In SQL Server Management Studio
    2. Browse to the GoldMine database  3. Right Click on the GoldMine database >> Properties
    4. Options
    5. Verify/correct Compatibility Level - set to the highest possible level, means on
Microsoft SQL 2005 to SQL Server 2005 (90) and on Microsoft SQL 2008 to SQL Server 2008 (100)
    6. OK
    7. Login again into GoldMine and verify Dashboard(s) again
