We have a couple of users when trying to delete them and re-assign pending items to another user, the following error is seen. ERROR: Some records have not access for writing! Probably they are blocked by other users. Please. Check and try to repeat
1 - Open the activity list and view all open activities that were not deleted. You will likely see that these are recurring activities. 2 - Decide what you wish to do with the activities (generally they can be deleted). 3 - If there are a lot open activities then the following steps can be used to delete/complete all pending items: NOTE: Before proceeding with the steps below, it is best to create a fresh SQL backup of the GoldMine database(s) as the steps can make changes en masse and if the desired result is not achieved then the only way to recover is to restore to a SQL backup. A - Click GoTo menu >> Activities B - Right click in the center pane >> Options >> Auto-Update. C - Choose the desired options to complete or delete the desired activities by type and date range >> OK 4 - Attempt to delete the user again and see if the same error shows in the process monitor.
