How to create an email rule to automatically place an email into the GoldMine junk folder, where the subject begins with a specific keyword.
For example 'JUNK'
NOTE: The steps below are on a per user basis. 1. Open the email center. 2. Right click on Filed folder and select New Subfolder. 3. Provide a name such as "JunkMail". 4. Right click the new folder > Options > Set up E-mail rules. 5. Read the informational message regarding setting up email rules > OK. 6. In the E-mail Rules Center click the New button > New Rule Set. 7. Provide a name for your rule such as JUNK? or SPAM rule > keep the default selection for Incoming E-mail > Next. 8. Determine if the inbound subject line has multiple items to search for such as SPAM, JUNK?, some other designator, or even key words such as Sex etc and choose either the option for 'ALL of the following conditions must be true' (If just one criteria) or 'ANY ONE of the following conditions may be true' (If there are multiple criteria or key words to meet). 9. Click New 10. In the E-mail rule:Condition dialogue box change the Mail field to Subject 11. Leave the Logical condition set to "Contains" 12. In the Value Field type ONE key word from your filtering into the subject line such as "SPAM" etc. > Click OK 13. Repeat steps 9-12 for adding additional words to search/filter out as needed. 14. Once done creating the rule conditions click Next 15. In the Rule actions dialogue select New 16. For the Action on Mail choose File To. 17. Select the folder created in step 3 as your 'Value' > OK > Finish 18. Close the E-Mail Rules Center.
