How to get the database schema for the application so that Reports can be developed against the system

    Resolution

The application is so configurable  and is usually changed by the customer, so we don't have a schema diagram.  In the Business Objects screen in the AdminUI there is an ERD, that shows  the relationships for each business object.  You could share these and the information on the Fields tab.

I was able to save the web page in Firefox so that it can be sent onto those without access to the system.

This  creates an .htm file and folder. You will need to share both of these.  In my testing hovering on the lines worked, but only if you have done it  before  saving the page. The data for each relationship has to be loaded (by  hovering on the line) before saving the page.

Alternatively you could use SQL Server Database Diagram to generate  ERD's from your database. Do be careful with these as you can make  changes to the schema from the diagrams themselves.
