Version 1

    Details

Adding a Field as a Watch Field for the Activity Log

    Resolution

The purpose of this document is to outline the process involved in adding a field as a Watch
Field to the Activity Log. This allows more than just the out-of-the-box configured fields to be
shown when selecting View>> Activity Log from inside the Call Logging client.

Please note, if you are on HEAT version 9.7.0 and prior, the Watch Fields are limited to fields 25 characters in length, do not add Watch Fields longer than 25 characters.  If on HEAT 9.7.1 and above, the Watch Field has been changed to accommodate fields up to 100 characters in length, but this change will only take effect after a HAF file load of your database on an upgrade.

    1. Launch the HEAT Administrator module.
    2. Select Defaults>>Activity Log>> Preferences.
    3. In this panel there are three optional Watch Fields with drop downs. Click the drop down to select the proper field to use as a Watch Field and Label the field as needed.
    4. Click OK to exit the Activity Log Preferences window.
    5. All users will need to re-launch Call Logging in order for these changes to take affect.
    6. After launching Call Logging, go to a call ticket and select View>> Activity Log.
