Can we get more information on how the HEAT application and IIS handle the database connectivity to help us troubleshoot our environment?
Information from development about the underlying technology:
We use standard ADO.NET call to connect to database from web server. ADO.NET uses connection pooling which re-use connection after each request for a period of time. When database has issue after the initial connection, there is possibility that already pooled connection will experience database error. In these cases, the best course of action is to recycle the application pool or recycle IIS if more than one application pool is affected.
