When creating a new record, automatically use the current record type in view" record type rule is not working with any field from the Contact2 table.

    Their is a setting in Record Type rules that says "When creating a new record, automatically use the current record type in view". For this customer it is not being honored when using a field other than a contact 1  field for the record type rule.


    Resolution

     

    Currently this functionality is limited to triggering from a Contact1 field in GoldMine, using other fields such as a Contact2 field is not possible at this time.  To address this issue you will need to update the rule to use a Contact1 field such as "Key1" by example.

    You may need to consider using a the "Global Replace Wizard" to swap the values of the Contact1 field with the field you intended to use.   More information about using the "Global Replace Wizard" is available in the GoldMine Help tool by pressing F1 while GoldMine is open.
