    When trying to add a GoldMine Mobile license to a GoldMine Premium Edition Remote Site (S-License), get error: "You cannot change this Remote License. Please ask the Master License administrator to issue you a new Remote License."




    Additional Note:
    this applies also to undocked user installations with a U-License. Here the user does not even have the possibility to add a further license or license type

     


    Resolution

    The GoldMine Mobile License can only be entered on a GoldMine Premium Installation which is using the primary/master GMPE License Key. This is the license key which begins with the letter "E".


    To see the license that is in use:
    1. Log into GoldMine as a user with MASTER rights. 
    2. Click on TOOLS>>CONFIGURE>>LICENSE MANAGER. 

    If no "E" license is shown in this view, the GoldMine Mobile License cannot be used on this Application Server or LAN in this scenario.
