Version 1

    Details

On a Terminal Server environment the GoldMine Desktop icon cannot be adjusted for individual users with the username switch /u: it always changes globally.

Can users also have a Desktop icon with their own username switch on a Terminal Server environment?

    Resolution

    [CAUSE]
    - the GoldMine Desktop icon will be stored in the Public area

    [RESOLUTION]
    - the user can simply

    Either
1.a.  Create shortcut or copy of the existing desktop icon (depending on the  operating system there should be a message that no global icon can be  created and a user profile related desktop icon will be created instead)

    Or
1.b. create an own desktop icon from C:\Program Files (x86)\GoldMine\gmw.exe

    Or
1.c. or also for example to Pin the Shortcut on the Windows Taskbar

    2. Right Click >> Properties on the new (created personal desktop icon or taskbar icon)
    3. Tab Shortcut
    4.  The command line options/switches are added after the application path  and executable in the Target field of the GoldMine shortcut e.g.
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\GoldMine\gmw.exe" /u:GoldMineUsername e.g. /u:master
    5. OK
