Right click > Create E-mail to Project's Team Member, results in an incorrect recipient's e-mail address in the GoldMine Edit E-mail window

    Right click > Create E-mail to Project's Team Member, results in an incorrect recipient's e-mail address in the Edit E-mail window
    This behavior occurs in 2 scenarios:
    1. Right click > Create E-mail to Project's Team Member who is an additional contact; it will always bring up the related primary contact's e-mail address instead
    2. Right click > Create E-mail to Project's Team Member who is GoldMine User; it will always bring up the Project's primary contact's e-mail address instead


    [PRE-REQUISITE]

    - E-mail account setup for the testing user

    [STEPS TO PREPARE]
    Contact-related:
    1. Browse to Art Bardtoll (on a demo database this record does not have an email address)
    2. Enter the email address art@abank.com (make sure this is the primary e-mail address)
    3. Browse to tab Additional Contacts
    4. Right click on Morty Catrisson >> Edit
    5. Enter the e-mail address morty@abank.com
    6. Browse to Bea Defkow (on a demo database this record does not have an email address)
    7. enter the email address bea@cadten.com (make sure this is the primary e-mail address)

    User-related:
    1. Tools > User Settings
    2. New > User Name = JOHN, User Full Name = John Doe, no password, no email address leave everything as default
    3. OK > Close

    Project-related:
    1. Browse to Bea Defkow
    2. Go To > Projects
    3. New Project button > No Wizard > OK
    4. Project = Test Bea Project > OK
    5. Browse to the tab Team
    6. Right click > New
    6a. Leave User as Type
    6b. Open drop down and select JOHN
    6c. OK
    7. Right click > New
    7a. Select Other Contact from Type drop down
    7b. Via the Search button right of Member drop down > select Lookup Contact
    7c. Search for Art Bardtoll > Select
    7d. Open the drop down of Member Art Bardtoll and select Morty Catrisson
    8. OK


    [STEPS TO REPRODUCE]
    1. Go To > Projects
    2. Browse to the project Test Bea Project
    3. Browse to the Team Tab > there are MASTER and JOHN as Team Members and also Morty Catrisson
    4. Right Click on Morty Catrisson > Create E-mail
    5. Review the recipient information in the Edit E-mail window

    6. Go back to Project tab >> Team Tab
    7. Right Click on JOHN >> Create E-mail
    8. Review the recipient information in the Edit E-mail window
    >> Result 2:

    [ACTUAL RESULTS]
    RESULT 1: the Edit E-mail window shows art@abank.com as recipient although morty@abank.com should appear as recipient
    RESULT 2: the Edit E-mail window shows bea@cadten.com as recipient although JOHN should appear as recipient

    Resolution

    [CAUSE]
    This is a known issue RM issue #205910. This RM will not be addressed within the application at this time, as there is a workaround available.

    [WORKAROUND]
    For additional contacts as team members
    1. Go To > Projects
    2. Browse to the project Test Bea Project
    3. Browse to the Team Tab
    4. Click on Morty Catrisson > Create E-mail
    5. In the Edit E-mail window > open the drop down list on the To: field and select Morty Catrisson








    For GoldMine Users as team members
    1. Go To > Projects
    2. Browse to the project Test Bea Project
    3. Browse to the Team Tab
    4. Make sure to have the contact record open in the back ground if or to whom you want to link the e-mail
    5. Click on JOHN > Create E-mail
    6. In the Edit E-mail window > open the Search button right from the To: field > To: GoldMine user or group
    7. Select JOHN
