What needs to be backed up for GoldMine for disaster recovery purposes?

    Resolution

NOTE: These backups should be done on Servers AND undocked machines.  The paths below will need to be adjusted to your particular install and the links are for general purposes; you may need to find a different article in Microsoft Technet that applies to your SQL version.

1 - Backup the main GoldMine folder(s) where GoldMine is installed to (i.e. usually C:\Program Files\GoldMine in server 2003\Windows XP and usually C:\Program Files (x86)\GoldMine AND C:\Programdata\GoldMine in Server 2008\Windows 7 and higher but the path(s) could be anywhere).
2 - Backup all GoldMine database(s) in  MSSQL (NOTE: GoldMine support does not direclty support MS SQL but the links below will point you in the right direction):

NOTE: It is best to have your backups in a couple of different locations including a secure location outside the office.  This is because if a natural disaster or theft happens, the data is available in a different location.
