Error message when saving Tenant record in ConfigDB - "The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found"

    When trying to update tenant record within the Configdb the error message "The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found" is returned and the record isn't saved. Everything else on the system is working fine.


    Resolution

    Root Cause

    The  "HEAT Configuration Server Domain Name" on the first page of the System  Configuration Wizard had been updated from CentralConfig to configdb. ConfigDB is not a valid name for the server hosting HEATSM and does not resolve.



    The network traffic, on the AppServer, created when the Tenant record was saved was captured using WireShark. A filter of http.response.code == 404 was applied. One record was return. By right clicking on this record and selecting Follow TCP Stream we found the request to http://configdb/HEAT/AdminUI/services/ConfigServiceAPIProxy.asmx?WSDL.
