- We are writing a Knowledgebase for our sales staff and want to insert pictures and hyperlinks along with descriptive text. Currently in the formatting bar for the GoldMine Knowledgebase we can control and format text size but we can only attach pictures and documents.
- We want to insert pictures and hyperlinks in the Knowledgebase articles. The Email template editor has icons to insert pictures and hyperlinks but the Knowledgebase editor does not have this option.
- In both the Knowledgebase and Email templates there is the ability to use HTML code by clicking the "Blue <H>" icon to show HTML code.
- How can we insert pictures and hyperlinks into GoldMine Knowledgebase pages?
1 - In the Knowledge Base page click on the blue <H> to expose the HTML code:
The HTML code will look similar to the picture below:
To insert a picture only copy the text below and edit the highlighted path and file name to point to the desired file. NOTE: The file should be stored in a network accessible location:
<IMG border=0 hspace=0 alt="" src="C:\Users\Administrator\Pictures\Capture.PNG" align=baseline></BODY></HTML>
To insert a standard hyperlink with blue color use the following text below and edit the highlighted address to the desired internet address:
To insert a blue hyperlink with different text use the follwoign text and edit both the desired text and web address to the desired text and address (This is particularly helpful where a web address may be very long and the desired text is something like "Click Here" instead of the long web address):
<P><U><A href="http://GoldMine.com"><FONT color=#0000ff>Click Here for GoldMine Homepage</FONT></A></U></P></BODY></HTML>
3- Once the desired changes have been made click the "Blue <H>" again to show the result.
4- Save the Knowledge Base page.
