- How can you query for non-Latin characters in GoldMine?
- When a database is setup in Unicode and the client is set to a certain/desired language for non Unicode applications, for example Russian, the database will store these non-Latin characters into the database.
- Querying for such values from the Microsoft SQL Server back end will usually require a different syntax than for Latin characters.
- Microsoft SQL queries usually require an additional N in front of the search value in order to handle certain non-Latin characters. The following shows an example which with the proper syntax.
.... WHERE ACCOUNTNO = N'B6110408840+WRO8 ыув'
.... WHERE ACCOUNTNO = 'B6110408840+WRO8 ыув'
