    When starting an ITSM 6x or 7x FrontRange service in an environment that does not have internet access, the following error occurs and the service(s) will not start.

    Error: Windows could not start the FrontRange #### service on Local Computer. Error 1053: The service did not response to the start or control request in a timely fashion.


    Resolution

    In the configuration file for that service, for example the FRSAuthenticationServer.exe.config (FrontRange License Authentication service) you can add the following code at the top of the <configuration> </configuration> section.
