Why can't we install GoldMine on an Apple Macintosh/Mac machine?
To start with, the installer is designed for a Windows file structure and security. Depending on what version of GoldMine you are trying to install, the installer might be an MSI file (Microsoft installer), which is not a recognizable format for the MAC and won’t launch. If you are able to run the installer (say from an .exe instead) you will run into other issues while trying to launch the application itself. Even if you are running some sort of windows emulator (like WINE) you may still find that the emulator does not include all of the function calls required by GoldMine. If you are able to get the application to launch (which, in all honesty is not likely) I would be concerned that your data tables would easily become corrupted. If you are very mac savy and are able to install, that is up to you to keep it working; however you might find that you need to run a ‘Virtual PC’ on your MAC and install GoldMine to the virtual Windows environment. NOTE: Running GoldMine on a Windows virtual PC is also not a supported environment, but it is your best chance for installing and running GoldMine IMPORTANT: You can purchase and use our iGoldMine program as this is does support MAC operating systems. Our GoldMine Mobile product works with Apple iPhones and Android mobile devices.
