DesktopManager: "Could not connect to LanDesk Database" error when creating LANDesk connection

    When creating a DesktopManager connection to an LANDesk database you asked for the the Core Server Name as well as the database connection details.  If you fill out the Core Server Name then DesktopManager will attempt to connect directly to the Core whenever a tool is launched and the rest of the information is ignored.  This can however fail for numerous reasons.

     

    To avoid this and have the database connection details passed onto the the tool being launched for direct database access you simply need to leave the Core Server Name blank in the DesktopManager connection properties.
