ITSM 7.x Email Listener folders are filling up disk space even though attachments are stored in the database.

    Customer is having trouble with the Email Listener folders growing in size even though the attachments are stored in his database. 
    Are the attachments folder self cleaning in this version (7.2.x) ?




    These folders should be cleaned up automatically by the ITSM system.

    One possible reason they might not be cleaned up is when the Windows environment appears to be interfering with the regular cleanup of these files/folders.  If admin accounts are still being presented the Windows UAC dialogue when attempting to delete these files this could be an issue.

    This is an environmental issue and the Windows permissions need to be looked into.  If they cannot be modified for security reasons a windows powershell script could be used to automate this cleanup task.
