How to color code labels in Cloud 2014.3

    Details

    Customer may want to bring emphasis to certain field labels based on specific values. For instance, you can change the color of the Impact label depending on the value of High (red), Medium (yellow) and Low (green).


    Resolution

     

    Login as Administrator and launch the Configure Application

    Click on User Interface Styles, then Highlighter Styles

    Click on Add New

    In the Value Column for Name, type in "Red"

    Drag over the Background Color and in Value column, select red

    Drag over the Color and select black

    Save

    Click on Add New

    In the Value Column for Name, type in "Yellow"

    Drag over the Background Color and in Value column, select yellow

    Drag over the Color and select black

    Save

    Click on Add New

    In the Value Column for Name, type in "Green"

    Drag over the Background Color and in Value column, select green

    Drag over the Color and select black

    Save

    Click on Business Objects, ie. Incident

    Click on Forms ie. IncidentDetails.ServiceDesk

    Click on the label/field you wish to bring attention to

    In the Control Properties, click on the Style Rule


    When the Expression Dialog pops up, enter the following expression:


    $(if Impact == "High"

      then "Red"

      else if Impact == "Medium"

           then "Yellow"

      else if Impact == "Low" then "Green"

    else "Impact")


    Save

    Save the Business Object

    Go back to the Client and Refresh

    Open a record in the modified work space ie. Incident

         

    Change the value in the field ie. Impact
