    Resolution

    [DISCLAIMER]
It is not recommended to expose the ACCOUNTNO or the RECID on any screens although for example for GoldMine Administrator it may help to review the values straight away and not needing to use the dBASE Expression Tester

    [STEPS]
Alternative A: Use the dBASE Expression Tester
    - this alternative will not put the expose the ACCOUNTNO or RECID on the contact record and can be used only per contact record
    - this method requires master rights
    1. On the desired Contact Record with no field activated >> CTRL + SHIFT + D
    >> RESULT: This opens the dBASE Expression Tester window

2.a. For the ACCOUNTNO enter either simply accountno or to be more accurate contact1->accountno
    2.b. Button Eval

2.c. If the result is required (for example for a further SQL query or similar) >> The Copy button will get the result into the Windows clipboard

3.a. for the RECID enter either simply recid or to be more accurate contact1->recid
    3.b. Button Eval

3.c.  If the result is required (for example for a further SQL query or  similar) >> The Copy button will get the result into the Windows  clipboard

Alternative B: As dBASE expressions on a screen
    - This alternative will expose the ACCOUNTNO or RECID on the contact record

    - As the values appear as expressions they are not searchable in the Contact Search Center via a double click on the label (but the Contact Search Center can contain the ACCOUNTNO as a search field, the RECID is not available by default as a search field)

    1. Log in with master rights
    2. Browse to Bea Defkow
    3. Browse to the Fields tab
    4. Right Click into the Fields tab >> Select End User Screen
    5. Right Click into the End User Screen >> Screen Design (This will offer at the right bottom the Designer tool bar)
    6. New
    7. From the drop down list >> Select -- dBASE Expression --
    8. OK
    9. Place the field as desired (here on the End User Screen)
    10. Double click on the field in order to open the Field Properties dialog
    11. In the  Profile tab >> Button More options
12.a. in the Field Label section set an appropriate Field label for example Accountno
12.b. in the Field Data section enter into the Expression Contact1->Accountno

    13. OK

    14. As an ACCOUNTNO will always have 20 characters (even if the last 3 characters may be blank) >> Tab Layout and increase the Data Size value to 20

    15. OK

    16. Repeat the steps 6. - 15. also for the RECID (here the Data Size should be set to 15)

    17. Exit the

    >> RESULT: The ACCOUNTNO and RECID information are available for each contact from the current contact set on the desired screen
