HEAT Discovery - After updating the Client Request Base Address in the ConfigDB Tenant record, the Client Agent Installer Executable still has the old URL embedded in it.

Version 1

    Details

HEAT Discovery - After updating the Client Request Base Address in the ConfigDB Tenant record (due to an error during installation or change of server name), the downloadable executables in the HEAT Discovery page of the AdminUI may still have the old URL embedded in them.

    Resolution

These are built on the fly when needed but they are also cached on the Web server or App server where they are built (one per tenant and Org Unit as they are built) in order to streamline future downloads.

After changing the Client Request Base Address in the ConfigDB you may need to remove these cached versions of the installer executables from the Web and App servers. These files are found in subfolders of  C:\Program Files\HEAT Software\HEAT\AppServer\IM\

For instance, the Client Agent installer (exe or msi versions) will be in the "C:\Program Files\HEAT Software\HEAT\AppServer\IM\ClientInstaller\{ID}" where "{ID}" id the Tenant's Auth Key as seen in ConfigDB.

Additionally there may be cached versions of the Gateway installer.  If so, you'll see additional folders underneath the "C:\Program Files\HEAT Software\HEAT\AppServer\IM" folder.  It should be safe to delete all the subfolders located here as the system will rebuild them as needed.  Do not delete the web.config file in this folder.
