Using the Owner (Incident) field to regulate an Escalation Schedule clock action - should this be done?

    Can the Incident 'Owner' field be used for the 'field to check' for the  'Escalation Clock is Regulated by:' field in the Escalation Schedule for  'Incident - Response'?

    Can the Incident 'Owner' field be used for the 'field to check' for the  'Escalation Clock is Regulated by:' field in the Escalation Schedule for  'Incident - Response'
    Short Answer: No

    Long Answer:
    That  field needs to be a Static list that you can assign Incident states to, for  each entry on the list. With the Owner field, the list would not  (typically) be Static, and can be very large. As potential owners are  added (and removed), the list would need to updated. This is not a  feasible way to use that Clock field.
