Occasionally a user may report that when clicking on a control that should launch a popup window e.g. new Task.Assignment nothing happens, but trying to complete any further action within the ITSM SmartClient session the system appears to have entered into a locked or hung state. Windows Task Manager however does NOT report application as "Not Responding"
This incorrect behaviour can occasionally get caused when the popup window actually launches behind the main maximised application window.
Changing the ITSM session window from maximised to a resized window you should then be able to see the popup window launch. You can then complete the required action. This will update current user profile thus preventing this incorrect behaviour from re-occurring when trying to launch subsequent popup windows.
