Is it possible to change the CustID to be a sequential Counter?
The purpose of the attached documentation is to outline a possible process that will allow setting the Profile CustID to a sequential number and still maintain the existing Call History associated to the original CustID values. This process requires multiple UPDATE statements to be run through SQL Management Studio and therefore it is highly recommended that a thorough database backup is created prior to attempting any of the following steps. UPDATE statements run to HEAT tables have no rollback options and therefore if designed improperly there is no recourse other than restoring the database. This is only an example of a possible process and therefore it is not necessarily suggested nor supported from FrontRange Solutions. It is recommended that this process (or any other suggested process) is performed on a Development database and thoroughly tested prior to attempting to apply the process to a Production environment.
