You don't have license to access GoldMine Error code: 3 - When attempting to access GoldMine Web.

    Details

    After installing GoldMine Connect to use GoldMine Web and then attempting to login to GoldMine Web, the following error is displayed on the webpage:

    You don't have license to access GoldMine

    Upon Viewing the GMConnect.log file you see the following error message

    2015-03-23 09:36:54,936 - [ERROR] Thread id[11] - GoldMine.Models.ApplicationExceptions.LicenseException: You don't have license to access GoldMine Error code: 3


    Resolution

    [CAUSE]
    The user that is running the GMMobileAppPool in IIS does not have access to the GoldMine system directory where the LicenseGM.bin file is located.

    [RESOLUTION]
    1. Add the user that is running the GMMobileAppPool (default user is Network Service) with full control to Sharing and Security tabs of the GoldMine share. 

    2. Restart IIS.
    3. Verified user can now login to GoldMine Web without error. 

    If this does not work, please proceed to Knowledge Article 11537 as there are other potential causes to this problem that need to be checked.
