    Which characters are not used in the GoldMine Account Number ACCOUNTNO fields?


    For example some customers always used the pipe symbol as a delimiter in CSVs etc as they were under the impression that it was not found in the ACCOUNTNO, but it emerges that it is used.

    - There is no documentation available if  there is really a certain character not used for ACCOUNTNO and from our  experience all visible characters (+ blank character) is used. Even when  using Unicode database and non-English NLS settings (Windows  Advanced  regional setting for non-unicode applications) also non-Latin or  non-English characters are used.


    The ACCOUNTNO is 'build' with the following information

    ACCOUNTNO varchar 20

    Unique Account Number. This field is automatically generated with the following values in the specified positions.        
    1–6: Date in YYMMDD format        
    7–11: Seconds since midnight        
    12–17: Randomly generated        
    18–20: First three characters of the contact or company name
