Attempting to Open Business Object and getting error: "Unhandled System Exception: The transaction log for 'tempdb' is full due to "Checkpoint".
Technically this is not an issue of launching Configuration but is instead a DB file configuration issue on the SQL Server's TempDB. You will want your DBA(s) to take a look at the allocation size for the TempDB database and shrink or purge data and possibly re-size the DB. Have your DBA(s) take a look at the server and properties for the TempDB.

To fix this problem, change Recovery Model to Simple then Shrink Files Log
1. Database Propertise > Options > Recovery Model > Simple
2. Database > Shrink > Files > Log
Then check your db log file size at Database Properties > Files > Database Files > Path
To check full sql server log: open Log File Viewer at SSMS > Database > Management > SQL Server Logs > Current
