Sending email to Task Assignee

    Is it possible to email concerning person automatically after assigning a task? Customer had removed the out-of-the-box trigger for sending a notification to the Assignee. The below steps assist in restoring this functionality.



    Resolution

     

    To re-establish this:

     

    Go to the Task.Assignment business object in Configure Application

    Click on the Business Rules thumbnail

    Click on Add Trigger under the Triggered Actions

    Set the items as shown below ~

    Click Next

    Configure a new Action called Send Email

    Click Next
    Add the GetGlobal address to the FROM:

    Add the $(Email) to the TO:

    Set the Subject accordingly

    Update your Body to include the information required by your business need

    Save

    Refresh the Browser and this will work going forward
