Change Management CAB Meeting Settings

Version 1

    Details

The CAB Meeting Settings form in ITSM 7.x has a number of fields that are used to calculate what CAB Meeting a Change is assigned to and how long the voting window is open for.

This article describes how the Voting fields are used when the Change is assigned to a CAB.

    Resolution

The fields are used in the Jscript "Change - Calculate CAB Submission Deadline" that is linked to the field Change.SubmissionDeadLineDateTime

These fields are used to calculate which CAB meeting that the Change is submitted to.

For Major Changes there has to be VoteMinutes (DeadlineTime)  + MCVoteMargin + CABVoteMargin amount of time before the CAB Meeting for the Change to be assigned to the Next CAB meeting otherwise it rolls over to the following one.

For Emergency Changes there has to be VoteMinutes (DeadlineTime)  + ECABVoteMargin amount of time before the Emergency CAB Meeting for the Change to be assigned to the Next CAB meeting otherwise it rolls over to the following one.

For Significate Changes there has to be VoteMinutes (DeadlineTime)  + CABVoteMargin amount of time before the CAB Meeting for the Change to be assigned to the Next CAB meeting otherwise it rolls over to the following one.

From looking at the screenshot above it shows that they are only allowing the period for Voting to be 2 minutes for Major and Significant Change (they better be quick!) and 30 minutes for Emergency Changes.
