iGoldmine Mac Clients stop working when users upgrade to the most recent beta release of OS X El Capitan

Version 2

    Details

Apple has released a Mac OS X El Capitan version that Mac Users will be able to upgrade to for free. It has been found that the iGoldmine Mac Clients stop working when users upgrade to this most recent release of OS X El Capitan.

    Resolution

The problem is that El Capitan does not allow third party software to run from the /usr/lib directory where iGoldmine stores libraries that are shared by the client and the browser add-on.

To correct this you will need to use a newer release for the Mac iGoldMine client.  On the attachments tab of this knowledge entry you will find a zip file with the updated client.   This client is compatible with iGoldmine 5.0, 4.8 and 4.7 hosts.
