    Details

    When attempting to alter a request offering, the following error is seen.


    Service Request Template with the same name '<offering name>' (in <language> language) already exists.

    Example:
    "Service Request Template with the same name 'Datensicherung' (in German language) already exists."

     


    Resolution

     

    This error is usually seen when a request offering has been cloned, but the locale values have not been updated.

    To address this behavior, you can alter the locale value and then attempt to adjust the offering again.

    1. Go to the Details tab of the request offering.
    2. Click on the globe icon for the field 'Name'

    3. In the drop-down, select the language indicated in the error seen earlier

    4. Alter the value do be unique from the value shown in the error as well as other request offerings in the locale being used.

    5. You can continue to make changes without that error being thrown.
