When adding a Target Override Condition to a Service Level Target (e.g.: Incident Response Time), an error is returned:
The following information does not satisfy validation constraints:
ObjectType of Frs_def_escalation_schedule: Field value must be provided
The error is being caused by an incorrect Business Rule that is part of the Out of the Box configuration on the TargetVariant.Common Business Object. This Business Rule has been removed from the HEAT Service Management 2014.2.1 release. This issue will only effect customers who started with an earlier release of HEAT Service Management.
To solve this issue:
1) Log into the HEAT Application with the Administrator Role 2) Go to Configure Application (AdminUI) 3) Go to the Business Object: TargetVariant.Common 4) Go to the Business Rules 5) Disable (or Delete) the Business Rule called: Create Escalation Schedule For Target Variant Common
