Inbound email messages not automatically linked to record. Logs show error: System.Exception: There is no valid BOID at com.frontrange.saas.EmailService.SaaS.ProcessBusinessObject
This error occurs because the inbound email message does not contain a valid record number for the email listener to match against.
When an email listener inbox is configured for record creation type of 'Other' this means that the listener will try to match the record based off of the contents of the Email BODY, and not off of the subject.
When the appropriate record number and formatting is used within the message BODY, the listener will link to the appropriate record as expected. Note that when using the 'Other ' option, a single email can be linked to multiple records automatically - this is why the 'Other ' configuration provides additional options for record markers and field separators.
