    [WORKAROUND 1]
    The recommended workaround

    1.  Import the DBF file into Excel
    2.  Save as an .xls or .xslx file
    3.  Click the GoldMine tab

    4.  Click Export from Excel to GoldMine

    5.  Click Next
    6.  Map the Excel fields to the appropriate GoldMine fields, then click Next

    7.  Click Finish
    8.  Click OK on the Imported x of x prompt


    [WORKAROUND 2]
    Save as a .csv file and use the Import Wizard within GoldMine

    1.  Import the DBF file into Excel
    2.  Search for the field delimiter (usually a comma), and remove them
    3.  Save as a .csv file
    4.  Log into GoldMine as a master user
    5.  File>>Import and Export>>Import Contact Records
    6.  Select Import a new file, select CSV file, and click Next

    7.  Browse to where you save the .csv file, and click Next
    8.  Click Options, remove the Field Delimiter, and click OK

    9.  Double-click each Label, give it a meaningful name, and click OK

    10.  After the last Label has been renamed, click Next
    11.  Map each Import Field to the appropriate GoldMine Field, and click Next

    12.  Select No, and click Next
    13.  Click Finish
