How can the bounce back email to un-recognised email senders get disabled?

    Various customers who email in are getting bounce back messages stating the following:  "Your e-mail message could not be processed. Please re-try, or notify your system administrator."


    Resolution

    The bounce back email that gets sent to un-recognised email senders can be disabled by changing the following line in FSMTConfig.xml file on the application server.  You should stop the 'FrontRange Messaging Service' first before editing this file.


    <ExceptionAutoReply enable="True" cc="" bcc="" whenExceptionMatchesRegex=".">Your e-mail message could not be processed. Please re-try, or notify your system administrator. </ExceptionAutoReply>

    Change the enable="True" setting to "False" and then restart 'FrontRange Messaging Service'
