When opening a Service Request record, the following error is displayed: 'Unhandled System Exception: The Service Request no longer exists or the current user is not allowed to see the request or any of its parts'. Additionally, the Parameters tab of the request is blank.
This error occurs when someone has deleted the template that this service request was logged under, instead of unpublishing it. If you have a newer version of the same template still in use in their system, we can attempt to link the records to that new template. Depending on the changes made between the original template and the new one, this still may not work. Deletions of dependent data can have unforeseen results, and often cannot be recovered. In the case of request offering templates, it is always best to set them to 'In Design' status instead of deleting them.
