How to match the background color of a new form to the background colors of existing forms.

Version 1

    Details

This article describes the process for ensuring the background color of a new form matches the background color of existing forms.

    Resolution

To ensure a consistency in the appearance of  your  HEAT system you want to ensure that the background color of a new form  will match the background color of your existing forms. If that color is  not listed under the standard colors, it can be difficult to find an  exact color match.

To match the exact color of an existing form please do the following:
    1. In the HEAT Administrator select Edit Set or select Quick Customize if you only want to modify the color of a form
    2. Select one of the tables from the list and open an existing form that has the color you wish to copy the color from
    3. Right-click on background > Select 'Format Drawing' > Color > Click on the color window and select 'more colors'
    4. The 'Colors' window opens, select the 'Custom' tab: Select the button with the dropper  icon and click with the dropper on form background.
    5. The target color should appear in the 'NEW'  preview: Record the values of the individual color settings (Hue, Sat, Lum, Red, Green, Blue)
    6. Now switch to new form, right click on background,  'Format Drawing' > Color > Click on the color window > 'more colors' > 'Custom' tab
    7. Enter the color settings from the existing form and click 'ok'. > The background of the form should now match the background color of the existing form.
    8. Apply the changes by committing the edit set or applying the Quick customize
