    Opportunity Manager - Columns do not sort after being moved (Change in column order)


    General this happens when the user follows these steps.
    1) On the list view of the opportunities sort by company name
    2) Move the company column e.g. after Manager
    3) Attempt to sort by company name

     


    Resolution

    A workaround is available, which will reset the columns


    Before fallowing these steps, please have the impacted user log out of GoldMine.

    1) Locate the impacted users <username>.ini file (by default this is stored on the server)
    2) Open the <username>.ini file using notepad, or another text editor.
    3) Search for [OpMgr] in this file.
    4) Remove this section for the <username>.ini file.
    5) Save and close the file.

    The user can now log back in, and sort these columns.   However if the user changes the column order, this problem will return.
