    Resolution

In some cases it may be required to mine the data from HEAT Discovery audits from HEAT for software licensing compliance and review.  To allow users to view and export the collected software and the machine information it is recommended to perform the following:

    1. Log in to HEAT as an administrator
    2. Click Configure Application
    3. Click Business Objects in the left menu pane
    4. Search for and open the FRS_CIComponent.InstalledApplication business object
    5. Click on the List tab at the top
    6. Open the InstalledSoftwareTabGrid
    7. Add desired colums to the grid from the CIAssociatedFRS_CIComponet relationship (CIType, CPU Count, and others as needed)

    8. Save the list
    9. Click the Automation Tools >> Quick Actions menu option in the left menu pane
    10. Create a new Export Quick Action on the FRS_CIComponent.InstalledApplication object

    11. Using the CIAssociatedFRS_CIComponent relationship specify the desired fields for export ([SoftwareIdentity#.CIAssociatedFRS_CIComponent]CIType for the computer type for example)
Note: Please publish the quick action to all desired roles

    12. Save the new quick action
    13. Return to the Businsess Objects menu item in the left menu pane
    14. Search for and open the SoftwareIdentity business object
    15. Click on the Layouts tab at the top
    16. Edit the SoftwareIdentity layout
    17. Click on the formView of the layout

    18. Edit the Installed On toolbar

    19. Find the Software Audit export quick action created on step 12 and drag it to the toolbar

    21. Return to HEAT and refresh the Software Inventory workspace
    22. Open any software listing
    23. Review the modifications on the Installed on child tab
