Version 1

    Details

How to set effectively the ownership of a Custom Dashboard - on a Dashboard's Properties >> Owner seems to be not effective

    [STEPS TO REPRODUCE]
    1. Log in as a user with master rights
    2. Go To >> Dashboards
    3. Browse to the Dashboard where the ownership should be changed
    4. Right-click the custom Dashboard >> Properties
    5. Set the ownership to the desired user
    6. OK
7.Log out and back into GoldMine as any non-master user who should not have access to the dashboard
    8. Go To >> Dashboards
    9. Verify the list of available Dashboards
    >> RESULT: The Dashboard is still available for the user who has no master rights and was not set as owner
When verifying the original steps again, the master user will see that the owner is still set to the original user but when querying the CUSTVIEW table the field USERID (which is the ownership field for a Dashboard) is not set and therefor the ownership is not effective
