Tasks created manually from a Service Request do not inherit the Subject and Details

    Details

    By default, Tasks created manually from a Service Request do not inherit the Subject and Details like Tasks created from Incidents or Changes do. 


    Resolution

     

    To update the configuration for the relationship between Service Request and Task so the Subject and Details are carried over (as with Incident), take the following steps:

    Log into the Admin role
    Select Configure Application
    Select Business Objects
    Select Service Request (ServiceReq)
    Select Relationships
    Select ServiceReqAssociatedTask
    In the 'Update Task's Fields' section, click the green plus to add a new field
    Set field Subject to Subject (check Overwrite defaults)
    Click the green plus again
    Set field Details to Symptom/Description (check Overwrite defaults)
    Save the object
