ZENWorks database import mappings to Service
    ---------------------------------
Upon importing a Zenworks inventory database.

Every installation or software piece, is created as a separate item. In their situation these are 40.000 items for a network of 100 users.
Is it possible to influence this mapping? So that one item is created for a software item which has multiple relations with the PC on which is installed?

For example: they have a software item Microsoft Office and installed on 100 PC's. With the default mapping, 100 Office items are created. They would like to have Microsoft Office created once, and linked 100 times to the PC's on which is installed.

    Resolution

The mapping in Service works on a 1 to 1 basis.  Therefore every item found in ZAM Service will create an Item irrespective of whether its the same type.

For example : lets say you have 2 computers , comp1 is owned by x and comp2 is owned by y, both computers have MS Office , hence the Office software in comp1 is owned by x and the Office in comp2 in owned by y. Now in Service you would have two Office items this is because they originate from different owners hence they are being treated as two separate items.
