New value missing from picklist in Client UI

    Details

    You have added a new value to an existing Pick List. 

    The value does not appear in the dropdown on the field.

    No constraint is set on the Pick List to filter out the value. 
    All users are affected. 

     


    Resolution

     

    When a new value is added to a Pick List, the Validation List cache needs to be cleared in order to see the value immediately. 

    - Log in to the tenant with the Administrator role
    - Go to Configure Application 
    - Under the Configure section select Cache Management 
    - Click Reset cached validation lists only

    The Validation lists are reset and the new value will appear in the Client UI as expected.
