    GoldMine Mobile (GMME) - User not able to log into GMME and receives a message Sorry an error occurred while processing your request - GMConnect.Log entry: The mobile license is invalid, please contact your administrator for authorization to use GoldMine Mobile Edition.

    [STEPS]
    1. Browse to the GoldMine Mobile website from a supported browser or device (usually http://servername/GoldMine)
    >> the log on page appears
    2. try to log on with your GoldMine username and password



    >> RESULT: a message appears:
    Sorry an error occurred while processing your request



    3. as in all other instances/error messages too, but especially as this error message is pretty generic it is absolutely recommended to verify the related GMConnect.log file

    - On default installations the GoldMine Connect logs are located in C:\Program Files\GoldMine Connect (32-bit systems) and C:\Program Files (x86)\GoldMine Connect (64-bit systems) >> then the sub folder Logs.
    >> open the GMConnect.log via Notepad and verify the related error log message
    there appear entries like

    Resolution

    [REASON]
    - When GoldMine Connect is installed initially GoldMine Mobile will be fully available for all GoldMine Premium Edition users for 60 days in a demo mode
    - As long as a user logs into GoldMine Mobile during the evaluation phase a message will show how many days are left in the Evaluation phase


    - Once the Evaluation license is expired, GoldMine Mobile will become inaccessible unless an explicit M-License is added to the GoldMine Premium Edition License Manager (via Tools >> Configure >> License Manager >> New License)
    - As long as there is no explicit M-License added to the License Manager the GoldMine Mobile Website will appear but straight away after trying to log on with a username and password appear with the message
    'Sorry an error occurred while processing your request' along with the GMConnect.log entry 'The mobile license is invalid, please contact your administrator for authorization to use GoldMine Mobile Edition.'

    - While GoldMine Mobile does not allow actively to configure more users to be assigned than the current used M-license - instead a message appears on screen - Sorry, an error occurred while processing your request on screen -
    You have reached the maximum number of users for GoldMine Mobile Edition. Please purchase additional licenses to add more users.  - there may be even in production environments more users assigned than the current M-License allows, for example after License reductions or other undetermined actions. In any case the amount of assigned users must not exceed the amount of possible M-Licenses and the assigned users need to be verified and adjusted

    [STEPS]
    1. Log into GoldMine Premium Edition with master rights
    2. Tools >> Configure >> GoldMine Connect
    3. Verify how many GoldMine Mobile users are selected and how many licenses appear as available. The amount of users selected must not exceed the amount of licenses available and if applicable Users in the Assigned users section need to be moved into the Unassigned users section e.g. via the <-- button or via double click


     
    4. OK
    5. Verify access into GoldMine Mobile again (for this action no IISreset is necessary)
