Environment:
Google Chrome
Avalanche 6.0, 6.1, 6.2
Issue:
You go to configure a software package within Avalanche and you get a needs Flash plugin error using Chrome.
Fix via registry (persistent through chrome relaunch)
Below is a sample registry key that can be applied to your local computer to make allowed plugins persistent through relaunch of chrome. Prior to running the registry key please validate that you have permission to edit the registry on your computer. Also chrome policy settings may be stored within the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE or HKEY_CURRENT_USER in the following path: Software\Policies\Google\Chrome
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome\PluginsAllowedForUrls] "1"="https://aod.wavelink.com" "2"="http://10.25.96.71"
within this example you will see that there are 2 items. You only need to put in the url or ip address depending on how you are accessing the console within the value of the key. Please use the proper HTTP or HTTPS depending on if you have secured the console with a certificate or not.
Please note that once the key is added you will need to restart your computer to allow the registry change to take affect.
Fix via browser (non-persistent through chrome relaunch)
