· (December 6, 2017) VLCv2.2.8 has been released by VideoLAN. VLC is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player and framework that plays most multimedia files as well as DVD, Audio CD, VCD, and various streaming protocols.
Before applying this patch, please turn off VLC Media Player to make the update successful. Please visit the following page for more details: http://www.videolan.org/security/
