    HOWTO: Change the cache location for the RES ONE Workspace Portable Relay Server on Linux

     

    Answer

    The following steps describe how to change the cache location for the  RES ONE Workspace Portable Relay Server on Linux to another location:
    • Stop the RES ONE Workspace Portable Relay Server service.
    systemctl stop res-relayserver
    • Change the location in /etc/res/relayserver-config.xml. The location /var/lib/res/relayserver is the default location.

    <Location>/newlocation/relayserver</Location>
    </LocalDataProvider>
    • Move the folder /var/lib/res/relayserver to another location. This way the owner and permissions will be moved along.
    mv -f /var/lib/res/relayserver /newlocation/relayserver/
    • Start the RES ONE Workspace Portable Relay Server service.
    systemctl start res-relayserver
    • Check if the RES ONE Workspace Portable Relay Server service is running.
    systemctl status res-relayserver
    • Check the log for errors. By default this can be found under /var/log/res/relayserver/.
