I'm getting the attached error when searching in knowledge, what is wrong?
"No search result layout configured for this business object"
This means that you haven't added any attributes on to show for the particulare Object, in this case, article.
You add this on by going to the "Knowledge Management Administration" and the "Configuration" section.
Double click the Object. To the right you will see all available attributes and you will be able to click and drag for example 'Title' to the Selected objects list, which is down below the list of attributes.
After you have added in what you wish to see in the Search, please do a Rebuild and an IISReset.
