QuestionObsolete log files are cleaned up on a daily basis.
The time at which this cleanup should occur can be specified in the RES ONE Workspace Console at: Setup > Advanced Settings > "Remove obsolete log files every day at:"
To configure an RES ONE Workspace Relay Server that is connected to the Datastore, to not perform this daily cleanup, the RemoveObsoleteLogFiles registry key can be set.
Setting this registry key excludes the RES ONE Workspace Relay Server from the following:
- Cleanup of session logs.
- Cleanup of Usage Tracking logs.
AnswerTo exclude the RES ONE Workspace Relay Server from daily cleanup of obsolete log files the following registry key can be set:
Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RES\Workspace Manager\RelayServer
In environments where no Agents, but only RES ONE Workspace Relay Servers are connected to the Datastore, please note that by setting this registry value on all RES ONE Workspace Relay Servers, obsolete log files will not be deleted anymore. This may cause an unexpected growth of the Datastore resulting in performance degradation.
